The Judgements of Revelation
The 21 Judgements in the Book of Revelation are categorised into three sets of Seven Judgements of Revelation:
- Seal Judgements
- Trumpet Judgements
- Bowl Judgements
These judgements are God’s divine responses to the rampant evil and corruption on Earth during the End Times.
The intensity and severity of the judgements of Revelation escalate with each passing moment, leading to a climactic showdown between good and evil at the battle of Armageddon.
Through vivid imagery and symbolic language, the Book of Revelation captures the epic battle between God’s justice and the forces of darkness, ultimately revealing the triumph of righteousness and the fulfilment of God’s ultimate plan.
7 Seal Judgements
The Rider on the White Horse.
The White Horse of Revelation is Conquest.
As the first Seal Judgment of Revelation is opened, a white horse will gallop forth, carrying a conquering rider symbolizing false peace and deceptive leadership that will ultimately lead to chaos and destruction.
The rider is the antichrist. Read this article for a detailed explanation.
The Rider on the Red Horse.
The Red Horse of Revelation is War.
With the opening of the second Seal Judgment of Revelation, a fiery red horse will be unleashed, representing violent conflict and bloodshed that will ravage the earth as humanity descends into war and strife.
This rider holds a mighty sword and is given power “to take peace from the earth” – and the antichrist starts WWIII, a war of Biblical proportions! Revelation 6:3-4
The Rider on the Black Horse.
The Black Horse of Revelation is Famine.
With the opening of the third Seal Judgment of Revelation, a black horse will emerge, symbolizing scarcity and famine, as humanity grapples with dire food shortages and the cruel imbalance of resources.
We are even told, how much a meal will cost – 1 days wages! Starving people will kill each other for food.
The Rider on the Pale Green Horse.
The Pale Green Horse of Revelation; “its rider was named Death and its companion was the Grave“.
The two (the black and pale green) are given authority over ¼ of the earth to kill with sword, famine, disease and wild animals! Revevelation 6:7-8
These four horses are coming! They will bring lies, deception, war, fear and death like the world has never seen before.
“He has decided on a day when he will judge all the people in the world in a way that is fair. To do this he will use a man he chose long ago. And he has proved to everyone that this is the man to do it. He proved it by raising him from death!” Acts 17:31
The Martyrs under the Alter cry for vengeance.
During the fifth Seal Judgment of Revelation, the souls of martyrs, clothed in white robes, will cry out for justice, amplifying the anguish and persecution endured by those who remained steadfast in their faith amidst tribulation.
Believers who were killed for their faith in Christ are each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer. Revevelation 6:9-11
The Lamb’s Wrath.
With the opening of the sixth Seal Judgment of Revelation, cataclysmic events will unfold, including cosmic disturbances, darkened skies, and a shaking of the earth, striking fear into the hearts of all who witness the approaching day of divine reckoning.
The mayhem is ordered by an angel to stop until 144,000 men from the 12 tribes of Israel are sealed. As if they hadn’t needed protecting from the first 6 seals!
Now it really starts to get rough…
Silence in Heaven for a “half hour.”
As the seventh Seal Judgment of Revelation is broken, an awe-inspiring silence will envelop the heavens, signaling the anticipation of God’s final judgments and the culmination of His redemptive plan for humanity.
An angel with a gold incense burner mixes it with the prayers of God’s people. The angel filled the incense burner with fire and threw it down onto the earth, “thunder crashed lightning flashed and here was a terrible earthquake“.
Angels are handed trumpets for the next set of judgements. Revelation 8:1
7 Trumpet Judgements
Hail, fire and blood is thrown down onto the earth.
During the first Trumpet Judgment of Revelation, a mighty hailstorm of fire and blood will rain upon the earth, unleashing devastation and heralding divine judgment.
One-third of all trees and vegetation and all the grass will be burned. Revevelation 8:7
A “great mountain of fire” or a meteor is thrown into the sea.
In the second Trumpet Judgment of Revelation, a burning mountain will be cast into the sea, turning a third of the waters into blood and causing catastrophic destruction to marine life and maritime activities.
One-third of all the oceans will be turned into blood which will kill one-third of all sea creatures and destroy one-third of all ships. Revevelation 8:8-9
A star from heaven called Wormwood falls to the earth.
A burning star called Wormwood is thrown to earth. One-third of all the rivers and springs on the earth will be made bitter, poisonous and undrinkable.
Many people will die. Revevelation 8:10-11
One-third of the sun, moon, and stars will be darkened.
As the fourth Trumpet Judgment of Revelation unfolds, the sun, moon, and stars will be struck, plunging the world into a deep darkness, shrouding all creation in an eerie and unsettling gloom.
One-third of the day will not shine and one-third of the night will be pitch black. Revevelation 8:12-13
The Fifth Trumpet brings the First Terror.
A horde of locusts attack all men who do not have the seal of God on their forehead.
During the fifth Trumpet Judgment of Revelation, a swarm of locusts, bearing the tormenting power of scorpions, will emerge from the abyss to afflict humanity with unimaginable suffering and anguish for 5 months.
These ‘locusts’ are no ordinary locusts!
“The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. They had… gold crowns on their heads, and their faces looked like human Faces. They had hair like women’s hair and teeth like that of a lion. They wore armor made of iron and their wings roared like an army of chariots rushing into battle. They had tails that stung like scorpions“. Revevelation 9:1-12
The Sixth Trumpet brings the Second Terror.
As the sixth Trumpet Judgment of Revelation is unleashed, an army of 200-million demonic horsemen – wearing red armour and riding fire-breathing horses with lion’s heads – will surge forth, bringing death and devastation upon a world gripped by terror and despair.
They are led by four angry angels and are released upon the earth to kill one-third of the population still left on earth at that time.
Revevelation 9:13-21
The Seventh Trumpet brings the Third Terror.
Loud voices cried: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and his Chist, and he will reign forever and ever“.
It is time to judge the dead and reward the servants the prophets, and the holy people; and time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.
This one is a sign to show that the end is near, there will be lightning, thunder, noises, an earthquake, and great hail. Revelation 11:15-19
And the 7th Trumpet releases the 7 Bowl Judgements!
7 Bowl Judgements
“Foul and loathsome sores came upon those who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.”
In the first Bowl Judgment of Revelation, malignant sores will afflict those who have embraced the mark of the beast, a painful and harrowing consequence of their allegiance to darkness.
“The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse. And everything in the sea died“.
During the second Bowl Judgment of Revelation, the seas and oceans will turn to blood, signifying the righteous judgment upon those who have shed the blood of the saints and prophets.
All sea creatures in the ocean that have survived the other judgements will die and leave a terrible stench. Revevelation 16:3
All the rivers and springs now turn into blood.
In the third Bowl Judgment of Revelation, rivers and springs will be transformed into blood, a testament to the divine retribution against those who have mercilessly spilled the blood of the innocent.
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, causing it to scorch men on the earth.
With the fourth Bowl Judgment of Revelation, scorching heat will scathe humanity as the sun intensifies its flames, inflicting unbearable pain and torment upon those who have rejected righteousness.
In spite of all the judgements that have happened, most of the people left alive still won’t repent and will carry on blaspheming God! Revevelation 16:8-9
Darkness will descent on the earth.
During the fifth Bowl Judgment of Revelation, complete darkness will envelop the kingdom of the beast, plunging it into a realm of despair and anguish, a chilling consequence of its wickedness.
The pain from the sores they received will be so bad that “they gnaw on their tongues“. Yet, most people are so ignorant they will still curse God and won’t ask for forgiveness.
In the sixth Bowl Judgment of Revelation, the great river Euphrates will dry up, paving the way for malevolent forces to gather and unleash unprecedented destruction upon a world spiraling with chaos.
The Euphrates River will dry up and 3 frogs will come out of the mouths of the Devil, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. These frogs are spirits of demons and they will travel to the kings of the earth and perform signs to gather them all for the great battle of Armageddon.
The reason for the Euphrates drying up is to make a natural highway for all of the antichrist’s armies to make their way to the location of the final battle. Revevelation 16:12-16
7th Bowl Judgement – The Earth is utterly shaken.
During the seventh Bowl Judgment of Revelation, catastrophic earthquakes will shake the foundations of the earth, heralding the final and irrevocable culmination of divine wrath upon a world consumed by wickedness.
Hail weighing a talent (135 lbs.) each, will fall from the sky and kill many.
This is the final judgement. When the seventh bowl is poured into the air, a loud voice will come from the temple: “It is done!”.
The reason for the hail is to destroy the antichrist’s army. This battle will bring an end to the antichrist’s reign on Earth when he loses. Revevelation 16:17-21
