21 Verses about Eternity in the Bible

God on a throne

The term Eternity in the Bible can be explained as an infinite time that never ends.

That means … FOREVER!

I’m a busy kinda person so I can’t help wondering, what are we gonna do all day?!

Eternity is a state that exists beyond the constraints of earthly time and goes beyond the end of this world. Eternity is spoken of as a transcendent state, where one has the ultimate hope of living in the presence of God for all eternity. The idea of being eternally separated from God, for those who have rejected His salvation, is the flip side!

eternity in the bibleEternity, for all Christians, is the ultimate goal; it was promised to us through the work of Christ on the cross.

Being a Christian nowadays is all about trying to live and breathe the teachings and values that Jesus shared with us. It’s not just about knowing the main beliefs but actually putting them into practice by being kind and caring for others in your community and around the world.

It also means keeping up that special bond with God through things like prayer, going to church, and reading the Bible.

And don’t forget, Christians are meant to spread hope, love, and forgiveness, helping those in need and standing up for what’s right. In short, it’s all about living life in a way that really shows how much Jesus’ love means to you.

The Millennial Reign vs Eternity

The main difference between Eternity in the Bible and the Millennial reign is that Eternity is an infinite period while the Millennial Kingdom is a finite one.

The Millennial reign lasts only for a period of 1000 years, as stated in the Bible. Eternity, on the other hand, is an endless period that will continue beyond this earth and the millennial reign.

Another big difference between these two is that Eternity involves the separation of the righteous and the unrighteous, while the Millennial Reign is a period of Christ’s reign on earth with His followers.

Eternity in the Bible is a period of either eternal happiness or eternal punishment, depending on the choices one made during their time on earth!

The term “eternity” itself is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible. However, “eternal life” is mentioned multiple times.

The exact number of occurrences may vary slightly depending on the translation used, but here are:
